Fish24/7 Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 the brown/orange craw I did w/ createx is shot over a white base, followed by an equal mix of peach and sand shot all over. Then some transp orange highlights followed by transp dark brown with the stencils and some trans black freehand detail. brown craw and MO craw i'll have to try sometime. on a brown craw maybe a white base then some red mixed with a skin tone to get that particular shade of red? a little pink/red on the belly with a hint of transp red shot over that , just a guess i'm pretty limited on my color selections, they (createx) probably make the exact colors you're looking for
Guest Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 The pink & red belly is right. I couldn't remember how I did it last year. Gotta start taking notes & following recipes. I painted a complex bluegill last week & probably can't duplicate it.
Johnsfolly Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 At this point in time I still just paint by hand an only do small batches of lures. So here's some floating Rapalas that I painted with the before and after photos. dtrs5kprs, Ham, BilletHead and 1 other 4

Guest Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Here's a shot of my chameleon brown. It looks exactly like the old curado. The bass love it, must think it's a juvenile sunfish.
