Fish24/7 Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 i'm using those 30-40 dollar double action gravity feed guns off ebay , for sure not the best gun, but it works good enough for me with the auto air. this might help https://artfixed.com/best-airbrush/

Specifically with this paint. https://autoaircolors.com/custom-automotive-paint/4412.html These are kinda a pain to shoot . They look amazing though. I’ve had the best success shooting them through an iwata revolution. I usually filter the paint really good. I also use a reducer to thin them out a bit .

I would think clean up is pretty involved too. I’ve tried to keep it simpler and used only water-based stuff. Like the results I get with that for color and an epoxy too coat for gloss and durability. John

The auto air colors are all still waterbased. The problem with them is the “flake” or metallic pigment is what clogs your brush . The larger 5mm nozzle is the way to go with these. Also the reason for being a little obsessive when filtering . I always finish coat with epoxy.
Fish24/7 Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Surely someone has been painting since April? I've been making jig heads ,that's about it. I took a break from painting but will dust off the guns if necessary.

Fish24/7 Posted January 5, 2020 Posted January 5, 2020 Had the best luck with predator blanks. Fish seem to really like the warts. I buy off eBay too from China sometimes Lvn2Fish 1
