Quillback Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Cool, I may do a little watching. Looks like a fog delay right now.
Smallieguy87 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 It's been awhile since i got to watch a bass event. Ill be working this weekend but ill find a way to tune online and do my best to follow it.
Quillback Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Looks like conditions are tough down there. Good to see McClelland is in contention. Champ188 1
Ron Burgundy Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 He's running 130 miles one direction....They had another fog delay this morning and it was longer than day 1, Mike said its a 2 hr drive to his spots one way he didn't feel like he would have enough fishing time. Now he is in 8th place lets hope he has a back up plan or he may really fall. Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
Ham Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I thought I read where MM said if he had an hour that's all the time he needed. By running that far, he doesn't have 20 other guys pounding the same fish, but I bet that's a wild ride. Those waterways are TIGHT with tidal flows subject to moving logs in the way and with the real chance of hitting a gator while on plane. It would be a white knuckle deal for 2 solid hours. Marshall didn't know what he signed up for if he drew McClelland running that far.

fishinwrench Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 As much as I love boats I honestly dispise long boat rides. Having to launch at one end of a lake to fish the other is a big reason why I stopped fishing competitively. 10-15 miles is about all the distance I care to go from my launching area, but on some lakes you have to put some serious miles behind you if you truly want bigger fish/more bites.

Sounds like those crazy pre-dawn boat rides those eastern Arkansas duck hunters do in those public green timber hunting spots. Except the Arkansas guys don't have to dodge gators.
