He had the comedy world by the tail and was co-hosting on SNL often. Then he jumped the shark......  I wonder if he cringes when he looks back? 😂 Oh, man. That still makes me laugh. The fact that It was so stupid and he didn't care is what's funny to me. Mitch f 1 John
Johnsfolly Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 His early comedy was always about passing off the the absurd as sophisticated. Why else would you wear the arrrow through the head? I have enjoyed a lot of his movies and some not so much! I do think that Roxanne comes close to how he sees himself. A sophisticated comedian with an absurd feature. Really like planes trains and automobiles. Mitch f 1

Johnsfolly Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Watching Alec Guiness in the original version of "The Ladykillers". Much better than the Tom Hanks reboot.

Johnsfolly Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 I have been on a reboot kick lately. Been watching the originial and the reboots. Watched the Hitch Hiker and maybe becuse it was the 50's was not as good as The Hitcher with Rutger Hauer. (Won't discuss the reboot of the reboot). In my opinion the first Total Recall had a much better plot and back story than the reboot. Corporate greed and oppressive power pretty believable premise. Trying to displace and destroy your workforce made no sense. I'll probably get some grief on this one, but I liked both versions of the Longest Yard.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 You know what's funny. Â I don't watch much TV or movies and my wife works for the cable company so we get every channel and movie available for $17 per month and that includes internet.
