I spent a week with Fred last year but have not been able to this week because I've been down with a bad chest cold. But I can say Fred has changed. He saw the need for a Savior in his life and excepted Jesus as his Lord. He's a different man, a new man. He's happy not because of his fame and wealth but because he knows his name is written in the Book of Life. And that's an option for everyone.

What an awesome testimony!

If the Ned is not kicking out crazy numbers you might be a touch shallow, and a touch fast. River might be suffering more from all the weather.

We fished places Wed and Thurs that looked like March places, and deep.

Yeah I hear you on that, I stayed in the coves a little too long trying to make them bite what I wanted them to bite. Figured out they were deep a little too late in the day.

And catching 20 AIN'T a BAD day. Years of fishing the spillway in Louisiana makes me appreciate catching more than a handful of fish and I always WANT to catch more than I am.

You're right, it's not a bad day. I'm not complaining, and some of it was self inflicted, getting back in the coves and trying some different stuff. I can get stubborn at times and try and make them bite something they don't want. And I'm trying to break the Ned habit, it's been fun but I like to fish other baits also. I wish I had fished the Menace out deep all day, the fish I caught on it were really slamming it, fun to get some hard hits for a change.

Or you might just be touched in the head

Good for him and those in his life. I'm not much of a religious type but whatever it takes for someone to realize the world doesn't revolve around them and their troubles is good by me.

We talk all the time about what a great forum we have here. About the camaraderie and brotherhood. You'll never convince me that the foundation of it all is not the fact that the owner is a Christian man, as are many of the members.

Thanks, Phil, for not being ashamed to speak up for Jesus and for allowing others to do the same. Increasingly, Christians are losing their rights of both freedom of religion and freedom of speech, and I'm proud to say that is not the case here.

None of us are perfect -- especially me. But Christianity has never been about perfection. If humans could rise above sin, we wouldn't need a Savior. But we cannot and will not on this side of the grave, so we'll just continue to ask for forgiveness when we fail.

Thanks again, Phil, for your words about Fred and for this forum.
