Thanks for everything and stay safe C4F Jeff Tief, evilcatfish, Hammer time and 4 others 7 Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker

Champ188 Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 For once, I stand on both sides of the fence ... I did serve, and I appreciate the heck out of other veterans past, present and future. The guys battling these lowlife coward terrorists now in Afghanistan and elsewhere can especially use our prayers and support. crazy4fishin, Deadstream, magicwormman and 2 others 5
Members flyrod17 Posted May 25, 2015 Members Posted May 25, 2015 6 years a Marine and 31 years as an Army civilian and I'm humbled by the out pouring of love and appreciation for the vets.....I was at the Haygoods show in Branson last Saturday night and there was a 92 yo man, veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. The crowd gave him a standing ovation. Made my heart swell! crazy4fishin, magicwormman, motoman and 1 other 4 "I'm Haunted by Water"

Members Grumpy53 Posted May 25, 2015 Members Posted May 25, 2015 Flyrod17, if I had been there I know that this 62 yo man would have cried like a baby. I am proud to be an UNITED STATES OF AMERICA citizen and I have thanked every Veteran I could with a handshake. I did not serve, too scared to sign up. Vietnam was winding down but I was still a big chicken. I hope that this does not offend anyone here. If it does please delete this post. GOD BLESS ALL VETERANS. Tanderson15 Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 I served for 20 years, my day is Veterans Day. I'm drawing retirement pay. This day is for the empty chairs next to me and all that didn't return alive and those that still have not returned. God bless them all. I appreciate the thanks, but on this day it's for the families that missing one of theirs. Muddy Water 1
