Greasy B Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I hear you brother, a bare cupboard wears on a man. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974

Go Hunting or Fishing when we get tired of Tame Rabbit or Chicken. oneshot Well tame rabbit, chicken, fresh eggs, new potatoes and some fresh picked green beans doesn't sound all that bad to me. Being a throwback has its ups and downs though, no arguing with that one. But honestly I would think you eat better than 99% of people who live in the city and have to go to the store and that's the only option for them. Stacy Jordan, 5bites and Ham 3

oneshot Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 I thought you bought a cabin on the river to stay at on weekends a few years ago? Ah actually I have a Cabin at Truman Lake for weekends. Got it fairly cheap, working on it now expanding. Home place on the Niangua River, close to Lead Mine CA and MTWNF. 3 1/2 Acres, don't use much of it for Garden, Orchard and critters. Ok maybe not soooo Poor. oneshot Justin Spencer 1

Justin Spencer Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 We fried a bunch of squirrels that were bothering campers in the campground the other day. Chief Grey Bear Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I don't see eating from the garden or fish and wild game as poor. The fools that don't or won't eat that are the poor. I think those of us that do that are rich beyond comparison. BilletHead Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Me likes a good mess of tree rats! I pressure canned a bunch of them one time. I don't care how old they were after canning it was hard to reach in the jar and pull out a leg quarter. If you grabbed a bone the tender meat would stay in the jar and you would be left with a bone.
