Reading some of the comments on some of the previous post below reminded me that I forgot to post this on here. Not trying to rant or spam the forum just thought some of you would find this interesting. Last Saturday I Went bowfishing with one of my buddy's in his bowfishing boat. We put in at clevenger since that's where we where going to be bowfishing. And we finally get put in and we bowfish around and didn't see much so we decided to call it a night since my buddy had work bright and early in the morning. We make it back to the ramp about 11:30pm. There is a lady sitting in here car blocking the loading ramp. So I hoped out and asked her nicely and said "mam will you please move your vehicle so i can back my truck down please". That's the way my father has always taught and raised me is to treat every body with respect and treat others like you want to be treated. So she said yes she would move the vehicle. So I walked up in my truck and set down and patiently waited. Didn't do anything just waited and about after 10 minutes she finally moved her vehicle so I backed my truck down and we load the boat. We get everything situated and ready to leave. But soon as we got in the truck my buddy remembered he left one of the generators running, so he gets out to turn it off and I'm setting in the drivers seat texting my father letting him know that I was on my way back I see a guy run up to my friend. So I quickly jump out and walk back there. The guy was screaming and cussing at us insisting we had called him(which I never had seen before that exact moment, who was apparently married to the owner of the vehicle) and his spouse a bunch of vulgar and hateful names, which never came out of either one of are mouths. We informed him that we where sorry about whatever we had done or said to offend him. Which apparently wasn't enough. He insisted on fighting us( we are both minors) we informed him of that and he was still dead set on fighting. So at this point we are behind the boat and a start screaming get in the truck, so I take off and the guy had a metal rod in his hand and had it held up in the air like he was going to swing on my friend lucky my friends Carp bludgeon( a small baseball bat used to hit carp over the head with) was in close reach so he grabbed that to defend himself and the guy kinda backed off once he saw he had it. So we both made a dash for the truck and hopped in and started to take off, the guy kicked my friend boat and put a dent in the back, as we where driving off he chased us and threw the metal rod luckily it didn't hit nothing. I don't know what his problem was or if he was on drugs, but something seemed a little sketchy about him and his wife. But I guess there's good and bad people everywhere you go. Thought some of you would find this experience pretty enteresting.

Unreal. Hope you guys reported this to the cops so they can be on the lookout for this psychopath. Sounds like he was just trolling for a fight and using his wife for bait.

Sadly, Deliverance scenes are possible at night in rural Mo. and Ar.

Oh. Wait. You said you were a minor. You probably don't know the reference to Deliverance. The link below will explain part of it.

That movie is the source of the bumper stickers you see among canoe types, "Paddle Faster. I hear banjos."

Definitely sounds like meth. And it is not just there.

Friend came by last week to pick up some jigs. We were out in the driveway talking about taking a pond run, when a woman and a man drove by screaming at one of our neighbors. He didn't even know them, just attacked him while he was cutting grass. Really kind of a similar deal.

Not a high end neighborhood, but a nice one, and generally quiet. Lot of settled families, older folks, retired military. You just never know. KS will be both an open carry state, and an all eligible concealed carry state (no course required for any legal citizens who are not otherwise ineligible) soon. Might be a good thing.

Hey you did good. You tried to de-escalate with words, when that didn't work you showed you weren't going to bow down, and when the oppurtunity arose you got out of there. Cudos.

Most likely they were on dope or had fried brains from previous drug abuse. But some folks just aren't right from birth.

I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar

So do you have a cell? Did you dial 911 or was there a reason to not do it?

If every thing you typed is on the up and up. when you get older then maybe you should pack like a lot of us do, especially at night.

My father has several custom 1911 he had built at wilson combat that he carries. I normally have a firearm of some sort with me most of the time just not in that occurance.

The company I work for used to clean up meth labs for the KBI in Kansas, oh the stories I can tell ya. You definitely ran into a meth head tweaked out of his skull. They can probably find this idiot naked, up in a tree close by shouting at the little polka dotted men running around below him.
