I eat WHITE bass. I let the green and brown ones go, but if I could keep some 12-14 inch LM I'd sure enough knife a mess from time to time.

A big September fish fry and hushpuppy shindig here is actually in the planning stages. All who know their way are certainly invited. :)

I'll bring the hummus! ?

All of the ones I know, which include fisheries biologists, wildlife biologists, agents, and a few generic hourly folks all fish, some a lot me than me and some less but fish they do, a few of them are pretty good at it.

What surprises me most about this thread is that most seem to be reading the paper version. A true sportsman worried about the environment would go online and read it or save it to a book reader. It would save trees, save the MDC the printing costs, labor to mail, and postage that could be used on some other project like a nice Bass Cook Book.

It is and always has been a first class publication that I have enjoyed for many, many years.

What exactly is hummas. If I might ask.

Mitch I have a question for you where do you buy you bucktial in St Louis. I have been wondering about Cabelas. I have been pretty satisfied with Pro bass but last two times they had some pretty inferoir stuff. I have tried twice to go to Cabalas. They have changed the highways so much so fast I get lost. On another note congradulation on the arrival of Armdaillos to the st Charles area. They are fun.

It's ground up garbanzo beans, it was kind of a joke, I'm not going to bring it!?

Anyway, good buck tail is so darn hard to find. I open up the packages and feel each one, for the kind of jigs I tie, I look for the straightest, thinnest diameter I can find. There are also 2 good fly shops on Manchester Rd. Feathercraft and TJ Hargrove. They are close to each other near Brentwood and Manchester. But I still go to BPS and Cabelas too.

It probably would be best to read it online but I have a couple of problems with that. One, I actually hate reading books and magazines online. Or on a kindle or anything else and I have tried a lot of different ones. I want to have the book or paper or magazine in my hand if at all possible. The other reason, a more important reason, is that if I only read it online then none of my kids will probably see it. But if I leave it laying on the coffee table then I know that each of my daughters will eventually pick it up. And then if it lays there long enough my wife will take it to the doctors office she works at and hopefully some kid there will get a chance to read it.
