8 or 6 shouldn't matter much in my opinion. ....I use 8 for ned, shakey, etc....6 is flimsy to me...I use 8lb invisx

Another vote for the 6 pound Invisx. I've also seen it firsthand in my boat; one of us fishing 6, one with 8 using exact same baits/presentations/locations and the 6 simply getting more bites........on multiple occasions. Whichever one of us had on the 8, switched rods down to 6 pound.........and that would level the playing field.

Can't say I have any clue why either; but the line size difference made a believer out of me.........just set your drag appropriately with the 6 and you'll be fine.:-)

8 or 6 matters a lot to the bass when finesse fishing in clear water. I've never lost a fish on 6 that I thought I would have landed on 8, but I've gotten a whole lot of bites on 4 or 6 that I know I wouldn't have gotten with 8.

Precisely.

:yuush: ahhhhh forget about it.

I know...actually I threw the other stuff Monday with wind and it was a disaster to fish with. Just too much of a cobweb. Otherwise it has a niche, and I'll probably keep messing with it. Just can't rely on it like fc.

It has been my experience over the last 35 years or so that when fishing clear water, the lighter line you use, the more bites you will get.

I'm relying on it aka the other stuff aka Nanofil for almost every spinning application. I have not swapped over the crappie rods. IF Bull shoals wasn't doing a Momma Cass impersonation, I likely would have switched over the crappie rods as well.

If I was any of you guys except maybe Ham I would listen to what Super Dave has to say about any and everything to do with fishing the Ned.
