Everybody has a first time. At just about everything I can think of. You guys should have seen the first time I tried to cast that Daiwa Millionaire back in 1973. And the first time I tried to back a hay wagon into the barn in 1967. And the first time I tried to kiss that girl in the movies back in 1964. Only one of those turned out OK.

I offered to help a guy out a while back at a ramp on beaver he had his trailer backed in way too far and couldn't get his john boat on the trailer so I offered to help him and he promptly offered to kick my butt if I didn't leave him alone so I did the responsible thing and waited till he finally got it 30 min. Later.... Good thing I have turned into a responsible adult

Maybe somebody should have offered some assistance. Maybe the loud mouth in the Champion. Maybe someone in the 8 other boats could have helped. But this is 'Merica. We'll just bitch about it. Does not matter if it's a million dollar boat or a $500 flat bottom.

The problem is that he has probably never been shown. I've seen plenty of people in bass boats that are just as bad. I offered them help, most took it without ever saying thanks or anything but I did it anyway.

Totally agree

What the heck does it matter how much the boat costs. Guides and tournament fishermen do this for a living and are quite good at loading and unloading a boat, big friggin deal. Go try and do his job

I can back a boat trailer or travel trailer or semi trailer into just about any little old spot there is. but put four wheels and a tongue on it and I get the heebie jeebies. Still have my moments with level wind reels. But Lovey says I am the best kisser in the whole wide world. So who am I to argue?

I always offer up assistance if I see someone by themselves. Usually I am by myself so it works better for both of us. Haven't run into anyone rude yet. Hopefully I won't.

I'm the same way fish 98 percent of the time solo. Try to help when it's needed.

But I'm sure in the heck not going to be any part of 500k worth of equipment. I'm there helping and he hits something. I smell trouble.

Just my opinion on the guy yelling and acting a fool. What does that accomplish? Sit there and watch them make mistakes they will learn.

Bill I don't blame you for leaving. I personally would of done the same in that situation. Maybe you should try a private launch the rest of the year lol.

Now the keeping of the short fish that kinda hit a nerve. But there again people are going to do that they do. All we can do is teach as many young men and women to C&R and select harvest.
