Generally what will happen on a lake with zebra infestation is 5 hey will go through a tremendous population boom for a few years, then crash, and finally rebound to a somewhat sustainable population.  Although with the extreme elevation fluctuations on Bull Shoals they may go through several boom bust cycles.  They are there to stay though, just try to keep them out of TR for as long as possible if not already too late.

I haven't ever read anywhere that zebra's didn't help a fishery.

Me either, Jerry.   Lots of negative ZM propaganda has everyone convinced that they are bad news.  Same with didymo, the emerald ash borer, ect. It's always something that we wouldn't be able to control no matter what we do.   Just a bunch of biologists trying to make their job seem important.  As soon as we grow tired of hearing about one potential threat they come up with a new one.

Where is the devastation from any of it ?

Meanwhile nothing is being done, and all study has halted in regards to the things we CAN control.

Last fall I saw PLENTY of them along bluffs down lake from Big Creek. I have not been on BSL since July. I expect to lose a lot more FB head jigs.

Wrench,

Head down to Bull Shoals and wind your favorite crankbait down the bank and watch it disappear when a bass loads up on it and your line breaks immediately from those little razor-shells......you'll feel a little devastation!  :o:o

So basically we know they are from Beaver creek all the way down lake to the junction with the Theodosia Creek arm and up the Theodosia arm to just south of the Hwy 160 bridge. I'll keep my eyes open, but I would expect them to be in every major part of the lake to some extent by next Spring next year.
