It just shows how rampant  the illegal gigging  is.....I know for a fact if I was given the authority and access to a River Pro I could make several busts in Franklin County, Reynolds County and Washington County....no problems  at all. The MDC going after illegal gigging is very similar  to the US going after ISIS. They know it's there and it's going on but they just don't seem to have the stomach to send in ready and willing people to take of the problem.

Get you a GoPro and start submitting footage.

It's also when "hunters" who didn't get a deer drive around after dark and shoot from the road, cut fences, trespass, drive vehicles onto public lands, take deer that never get checked, take bucks that don't meet the 4 pt requirement.  Also when hunters who buy a permit at 6:00 p.m. and then check in a deer 6:30, etc.  Also a good time to make contact with hunters as they return to their vehicles, obviously check permits etc., also to simply talk to the hunters.  Have never been around a hunter who was completely legal who minded talking with an agent for a few minutes at their truck.  Agents can on occasion get a little short but heck so do I.

Right on.  So driving around in a new truck and talking is considered being "busy as hell".   

Everyone I know is busy as hell 365.

The bust so to speak probably would have been within the lake boundary at the ramp.  It's a ways upstream to the beginning of the river.

An agent told me they can't give tickets for sticking illegal fish. Only for taking em from the water to home  that's how it's interpreted in my county by the prosecuting attorney.  Opening night by my house we heard shots after dark and took chase in truck.  Long story short- idiots admitted to spotlighting 5 deer and shooting em.   Total fine =$4000

Nice, I wish they would charge $4000 for bass too!
