stlfisher Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I followed the Rams, but 10 years of futility made it difficult. They were terrible and the owner hasn't spoken publicly in several years, but I am pissed at how this turned out. Yes, the lease was a joke and probably the worst lease ever signed in professional sports. It also came on the heels of losing out to Jacksonville in the expansion race because of inept leadership. Desperation played a factor, but leadership certainly failed. However, it doesn't indemnify Kroenke from nuking an entire city on his way out. The fact it was endorsed by the NFL is just unreal. Nor does is indemnify the NFL on a corrupt process that was nothing more than a charade I hope we go Cleveland and file lawsuit after lawsuit (they filed over 100 when the Browns left) and ultimetly forced the NFL back to the table. I don't even want a new team, but yeah I want revenge on and organization and owner that embarrassed and napalmed my city on their way out. The NFL made the NCAA look like Mother Theresa (ok that is a stretch, but you get my point). At the very least i would think a case for slander could be made rather easily. I found it interesting that Dean Spanos and Mark Davis left right after they spoke. Clearly they were not happy either and did not stick around. How could you promise $100 million to the Chargers and the Raiders, but not give the extra $100 to STL? Corruption and Collusion at it's best. i still would like to now how the LA Committee on Relocation could recommend Carson 5-1, but then a vote turns up 30-2 for Inglewood? Did Sepp Blatter sneak through the back door or something? I could go on and on, but you get the point. mixermarkb and marcus 2

Gavin Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Glad they are leaving. Have been a KC Chiefs fan for 24 hours and they are already in the playoffs. The Rams never were our team. Had some great seats for the good years but glad I got rid of them 7-8 years ago. Was a chore to find butts to fill the seats and the folks next door wanted them. Done deal. Wish them well in LA. Can't do worse than they have done in the last 10yrs.
Greasy B Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Football or no football doesn't really matter to me but I have been having a world of fun reading the St. Louis media's impression of the rich guy. Now that I have taken my morning Kroenke I'm ready to face the day. Good for LA, not a great loss in StL. Can't really fault Kroenke based on the cluster stuff that went on. And, in the end it's a business. 11 hours ago, Gavin said: Have been a KC Chiefs fan for 24 hours and they are already in the playoffs. Welcome to Chiefs Kingdom! Lancer09 and Gavin 2 John
Hog Wally Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Well I finally found a sports topic that I can join in on. I've never watched a full Rams game. Even Super Bowl. Just not a fan of any sports. I'm very thankful that millions of people are all wrapped up in sports. More woods and water for us mixermarkb and Gavin 2
Smalliebigs Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 As bad as the Rams were as a franchise they have won a shiot load more meaningful playoff games in a short span than the Chiefs have in 46 years since they won the super bowl. This has nothing to do with St.Louis not being a football town as this town will support pro sports if they are good.....anyone who thought the Rams were gonna stay here when they always had their team offices in L.A. was clueless.
