Dan Kreher Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 I believe that the process as outlined above by the MDC is exactly what they have told us from the start. It is also the process by which any such changes to the Wildlife Code are made here in Missouri. Furthermore, I believe it is quite possible to be both "cynical" and "uniformed". The former is an attitude or mindset while the latter is a condition of misunderstanding or a lack of knowledge. Seriously, with all due respect, I continue to appreciate the concerns of conservation-minded smallie fishermen as expressed both on this board and across the state in general [MDC speak] Even if some anglers don't believe that these proposed regulations changes go far enough to markedly improve the quality of our stream fisheries, [I hate to even put this out there fearing the launch of another 20-page OA thread involving name-calling, idle threats and MDC-bashing] it is hard to argue that their proposal does not indeed represent a step in the right direction. A large enough step, perhaps not, but a step nonetheless. And, with the 8 public comment meetings and online portal, it cannot be said that the public did not have a sufficient opportunity to express their opinions on these matters. Let's see where this all goes right now. There will be ample time to continue our griping in the future, I'm sure. MOPanfisher, SpoonDog and Greasy B 3

joeD Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I love me some Dan Kreher! Correct, thoughtful, tolerant. With our, all of us, basically, fishing interests in mind. He puts his money where his mouth is and works for us. Himself too obviously. While I am skeptical about government in general, MDC included, I am not skeptical about Dan nor his efforts to bring positive change to smallie fishing in Missouri. As an uninformed misanthrope who can apparently only cast stones, I do have the utmost respect for Mr Kreher . Therefore, I will refrain from my usual default negativity as it pertains to this here subject, and try to be positive and helpful. Within reason. MOsmallies, MOPanfisher, Mitch f and 2 others 5
