Using mono for the past 40 years, and dabbling with Fluor the past year, my opinion of Fluor is a lesser line than mono as far as getting nicked up. I cut and re-tie 2-1 the Fluor fishing the same obstacles with both lines. This winter I switched every reel I have with a Fluor leader, all to a mono leader.  Not a Fluor fan. Weak line when it hits anything.

Hybrid might be off on their diameter or poundage, I don't have a clue. Don't really care. The stuff is amazing. If it was truly the diameter of 12lb, it wouldn't cast so well. So you can't go comparing hybrid to FC.

I'm holding a 600 yard spool of "6lb." Yozuri in my hand, .010 diameter according to the label.  I can tell just be looking at it that it is thick diameter stuff.  I am not amazed.

You gotta try it before you knock it. Trust me, its good stuff on the NR.

I have no affiliation with the company, I just know its affordable & works really well for me.

I use the 10lb for rock crawlers & wiggle warts. Landed a 40lb carp with the 10lb, by accident of course.

When I first saw the Ned Rig. I thought, this bait's too little to catch big bass. It had to be proven to me by trial & error.

I lost what I believe was my personal best smallmouth on a hookset using Segaur carbon pro. My buddy told me to switch to Yozuri hybrid. I've been using it ever since. It does have a little bit of memory in the bigger diameters, but I stretch it on my trailer hitch before I go out. Very strong stuff, knot strength is great too.

That is strange.  I used Red Label on everything for a while because it was reasonably inexpensive.  But the line memory is terrible.  It feels like it gets dry and course feeling.  That's why I like PLine CX because it feels buttery soft when first spooled and stays that way for quite a while.

A micro spinning reel will test the line memory of ANY line and will curl up any line eventually.  But I do like those little reels for finesse fishing and crappie fishing.  Compact and comfortable.

Have to spray any brand of FC. Heck, you should be spraying any line on your spool. They will all set out and take a curl.

You also have to change line frequently for best results. I ordered about 7K yards of Seaguar for this year. I change line often. I re-tie often. I break off maybe 5 fish a year. Maybe. At least two of those are because of where I put the bait. I can live with the others. Can't say I've had straight break offs on the hooksets with any line. The odd swing and snip from a stray walleye, but that feels much different. Keep in mind I fish 6# line well over 70% of the time. Probably not around 80%.

The beloved Palomar knot is horrible on FC. It is hard to get the loops to not cross. Trilene or a uni work well. The fishing fool knot is good, but harder to tie. I don't have enough extra fingers for the fancier knots like the triple backwards twist.

Braid is really the only answer on micro reels. Better answer is a bigger reel, even for crappie and slicks.
