I'm convinced HC is going to win.

Of course she is going to win. This election is just another sham. Her being elected president in 2016 was decided long ago and there is NOTHING the voters in this country can do to stop that. That's the sickening part. When you find out that your vote, at this level, means nothing.

Not sure how we have gotten to the point that people expect the government to provide everything for them.

The people expect it because that's what the government has been telling them. The problem is we have the wrong people in government.

Dadakota, I will say that when a major disaster strikes the US, you bet other controls do assist us.  The US media oddly seldom reports it but they do help and offer help. Most other countries don't have a spare aircraft carrier to send to supply water, electricity and medical services like we did for Hati, but earthquake specialists from Japan, engineers from Germany and England, after Katrina here was a group from Holland there with pumps and expertise on using them.  Very few if any other countries have the depth of expertise and ability to assist that the US does.

This will be the first residential since I turned 18 that I will not vote for any candidate.  However I vote against one.  If this was a list of applicants for a job and I was the selection official I would send it back with the words "good joke, now send me the real list"

I have always felt this way.  We are interviewing for a job.  The largest job.  Yet as a whole, the interviewees make a mockery.   I want to know what have you done, and why?  What are you doing,  and how?  What will you do, and explain.  It scares me to see such an important position given to the best of the worst.

Quit talking with your mouth full.

That was my Yosemite Sam response. ...I'm  with you it's rigged.....The criminal  wins no matter what....as you said it has been predetermined already.

One observation from the DNC, how could you sit there with a straight conscience in support  of that party with all of the clowns they parade up there??? I am not a Republican but at least most of the people giving  speeches at the RNC are legal citizens and haven't  been disbarred from practicing  law in their home state or fake rape accusers. ..or how about having a radical Muslim speak who expounds the virtues  of killing  gays and then talking  out the other side of your arse and saying you are the love party and you love the LGBT community.

Seriously they have to be the most hypocritical collective  group of POSs I have ever witnessed in a convention ever.

My wife who has been A political all of her adult life as she has been too busy with school  and jobs at the executive level  at hospitals to even have time to worry about this crap has finally registered  to vote a couple  of years ago. She will now do anything  in her power of suffrage to prevent HC from being  prez.....she is convinced she is a criminal.

I'm  pretty much done with the whole  process and fed up.....jaded and have no confidence in the process  anymore....I may not even vote.

I feel like Ronnie  Moore. ...it's  rigged

I am getting  my good fishing  in while I can and protecting  what I have and raising  my daughter  to be a very critical  thinker who can take care of herself in all scenarios. She will have the drive and the skill set to thrive and take care of herself.....we won't  be making  excuses  for her and she won't be making them for herself trust me on that.

There are way too many enabled young people  in this country being raised by non existent parents who are afraid of letting  their kids fail and learn from their actions or be held accountable  for their consequences.

That's it I'm done with the pathetic  soap box and going to try to spend as much quality time with my daughter before the Summer is over :)

That's the best decision yet. They grow up fast so do as much as you can before they get too busy with their own lives.

I know I see it in all of my nieces and nephews. ....that scares me and I'm  cherishing every second

Definitely enjoy it, my daughter is 22 and my son 18 and about to start college.  Strangely one of the best memories with my daughter was wading around in a small local creek, falling over rocks, catching crawdads, (with a net because she didnt want to touch them) only to let them go later.

Sounds stupid and obvious but once they grow up they aren't little anymore. I have one graduating college and another graduating high school this year. I'm taking donations.

Mine are a little older -- one graduated and is now a productive member of society teaching special education, one's in college and one's heading there next year. They've got 'busy' lives and visiting dear ol' dad isn't very high on their list of priorities. Make the most of the time you have.

This world we live in scares the crap outta me.
