Quillback Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Got out today at 0800, wanted it to warm up a bit before I started, and fished until 2:30 PM. Still not finding many places holding fish, as a matter of fact, I think 6 or 7 of the 10 I caught came from the same place, a rocky point with submerged trees, Fish were a bit deep, 10-25 feet. Caught them on a shaky head and the Ned, very, very, light biters. Missed a good one, but about 10 minutes later caught a 4.5 LM that was my big fish of the day, 2nd place was a 15" Kentucky, and the rest were shorts. Water is still a stained green, and I saw temps that were in the 47-49 range. Smalliebigs, merc1997 Bo, magicwormman and 8 others 11
Bill Babler Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 That is one super fish, Congrats. Seems like they are where they are and stinky on the other locations. That's the deal on early season fish, you find the hangout and it usually has a small pack and you can go and come back and tease up another or two. Nice day and excellent report. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Jerry Rapp Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 that fish won't weigh over 4.3lbs! Good job.

Champ188 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Pretty good day, all things considered. Bite has gotten tougher in the White for me. Having to really move and shake to find/catch em.
176champion Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Nice fish...thanks for the report... I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
abkeenan Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Very nice Quill. Hopefully this a sign of some of those nicer fish pushing up to where we can get at them.
