Finally, a stickbait bite

very healthy bass.  it is nice to see bass that look like table rock bass should look.  it has taken way too long to get back to any type of bass population without any stocking help.  but, the mdc just gave cambell point $100,000 dollars for building a dock that accomodates 26 ft. and longer boats, and claimed that having a dock such as that really opened up fishing in the area to a whole lot more people.  i do not ever recall seeing anyone fishing out of a 26 ft. or bigger boat on table rock.

just my opinion, but someone got their pockets lined, and that $100,000 could have been better spent on some stocking programs.

i've put in a couple of call to our local state rep, but have never received a return call.  oh wait, they are in the dock building business.  maybe that is why no return call.

Merc - they are probably out shopping for replacement buoys and wave runners. Or fishing off their 26' cruisers.

Water temp was 47-49, therefore only 3-5 seconds between pauses. Jerk bait is a Luck-E-Strike RC STX. It's a pretty darn good Megabass Vision 110 knockoff.

Another bonus is the $9 price tag. I'm gonna pay whatever it takes to catch fish and I do own some Megabass baits, but in this case, I can honestly say this bait works every bit as well as the Vision 110 for me.

Merc, you are very suspicious.  I'm wondering how they are getting a permit as there is a freeze on dock permits until the final decision is made in 2017.  HMMM.....this smells fishy.

The MC Stik is a better Megabass knockoff for just a little more money. Just saying.

I have an entire box (16) McSticks and I do catch fish on them. But the RC STX is a much closer knockoff of the Megabass and if forced to choose between the two, I'd take the RC STX hands down.

Dang, I wish this threat was out there last year before I bought the Megabass lures.  Could have bought a lot of the McSticks and RC STX.  Oh well, now I know.
