edyer Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 You guys talked me into just buying one to put on the boat. The Frabill Conservation series is a great net. I bought one after talking to the Frabill booth at the BASS Expo a couple of years ago. They told me I could net a Northern Pike with a crankbait hanging out of it's mouth and be able to get the fish and crankbait out with no problem. Way better than those heavy rubber nets.
Bill Babler Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 This has been way more civil than I thought possible. I commend everyone that has participated in this thread. FishPond also makes just a super catch and release very soft rubber net. I believe it was designed for trout, but works well for bass. Appreciate how everyone has responded to this topic. It has made me much more aware and I will for sure keep them off the rug. Good Luck Daryk Campbell Sr, grizwilson and Sore Thumbs 3 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Old plug Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Old Plug, I need a babysitter, can you be of some assistance??? Do You trust me here is my resume: Last time I regularly changed diapers they were made of cloth and you had to fold rhem and safety pin them on. While at the same time pinning fingers if not careful Washing out said diapers in toilet and wringing the excess water out of them In looking back I do feel I am overly qualified for the position. Looks so simple and easy now days. SO WHATS THE PROBLEM. Sanp one off then snap another on nothing to it. MOsmallies and Mitch f 2
merc1997 Bo Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Bo, makes no difference to me if you post pics or not. I don't make the rules around here anyway nor do I want to. And far be it from me to interfere with a man who is consistently amidst multitudes of keeper bass. Me, I usually have to take them where I can find them and rarely are they bunched up, so I have more time for taking pics. you are the one that always puts a pics?? on my posts. so, it just seemed obvious to me that it was a requested criteria to a post in your eyes. bo
Champ188 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Bo, you've adequately explained how much trouble it is to take a pic, so I've let it go. Besides, you'd blow your phone up if you tried to take a pic of all the fish you catch. Sore Thumbs 1
Hazbin Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Don't know about them, but I would, with that on the line. Given the choice between chancing a 4# fish flopping out, or twisting off, I would boat the fish. Bo, you've adequately explained how much trouble it is to take a pic, so I've let it go. Besides, you'd blow your phone up if you tried to take a pic of all the fish you catch. Throughout all this I think I've learned something in spite of some aire of perpetual agitation. I guess it's okay for satire and ratings.
Sore Thumbs Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I really had no idea carpet was that harmful. I will definitely keep that in mind from here forward. Is laying them on a measuring board harmful? I usually only take pics while holding them or laying them on the board so you guys can see how long the fish are. I feel the need to document my days on the Rock since I'm not there as much as others and want to contribute as much as I can. I sure take more from this Forum than I add.

All depends on the board and where it sits. Hot back metal board on carpet is one thing. Handheld wet plastic hog trough is another. My board is gold and bolted to my vinyl floor. Except for the walleye and the exceptional bass, I do not use it. dtrs5kprs and Champ188 2
