Babler Caught a hog today!

Hmmm....im not calling bs at all...but I would have guessed that fish at 6 or 7...folks saying 9 makes me feel a lot better about some fish I've caught.   how much would a 21.5 inch spot go in the dead of summer?  That's my biggest and I assumed 3.5.  Now I'm thinking it was bigger.  That's a great fish btw...fish of a lifetime for me.  Interesting about 3 9# fish on a float n fly.  Huge fish on a tiny little jig.  I occasionally catch solid largemouth on 2 inch swing impacts...and they are usually in the winter while crappie fishing.

Now that's cool! I know they use the float-n-fly at Dale Hollow with great success with big smallies, but only thought this technique got mixed results at TR. That's awesome news! Especially with Largemouth

Great fish Bill, I'd be happy to catch one half that size next time I'm down there, and thank you for the release to give the rest of us a shot at her!

Yes. Someone here posted it and it is a MO state record I believe and weighed 30ish pounds.
