176champion Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Pffffffttt...i could not afford to buy hooks right now let alone one of these....and i'm talking the cheap hooks...lol I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
jolicious Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 I thought about one, but then remembered that the Everett Series wouldn't allow it (#7 rule, I think, kicks it out) on Beaver. I'm afraid I won't be able to purchase one. Mainly because I fear I'll have it in the boat during a tourney that prohibits - and even if I don't ever use it, there could be a potential for the appearance of dishonesty. It looks pretty cool though!
Ben Gillispie Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 This Whopper Plopper thing is getting ridiculous, especially for a simple recreational figherman like me. Hey, I've got an idea...forget this Mega Whopper Plopper 5000 and sign up for Angler Spy for TRL! 96 CHAMP and Champ188 2
fishinwrench Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 I get so amused by guys with 25k+ boats that whine about a 16 dollar bait. Here's the deal....The guys that make the baits have to eat, pay taxes and health insurance, and they wanna own 25k+ boats too. Champ188 1

If you like that head over to BBC (bass boat central) and you would think you are at a Disney World Amusement Park then.
fishinwrench Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 Seriously though, the right to bitch about how much a Whopper Plopper costs should be reserved for guys in 2k boats or for the fellas walking the bank. mjk86 1
Old plug Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 I believe a lot of the people that push this stuff really believe we're all fools and we can be parted from our money easy.p Hammer time and Sore Thumbs 2

evilcatfish Posted June 14, 2016 Posted June 14, 2016 I feel like this bait is getting a lot of hype as being new and innovative when its really just another double prop buzzbait. Same thing with the whopper plopper, that style bait had been popular for years up north but R2S makes a cheap mass market version and people act like they revolutionized the fishing world.
