That was an awesome story. I may get to fish the North Platte in Sept. I would love to catch a fish a 1/4 of that size while I am there.

Gee Whiz John, I'd be looking at the non traditional game fish in that area instead of the silly old trout that you can catch any ole time. Any squawfish or Chub-Pikes or whatever?

Purefish - If we get tired of hunting, we would likely fish the N. Platte between Saratoga and the Colorado border.

Ham - that sounds like the advice I gave Billethead before he headed out West this summer. I'll have to see if the N. Platte has the Paiute sculpin or flannelmouth sucker. I don't think that cutthroat would be prevalent in that river based upon the distribution maps I looked at. I wanted to get a start on the Wyoming Cutt Slam.

Nice catch! Buddy of mine is guiding at the Old Baldy Club in Saratoga this year if you need some fishing intel.

What a great story.  It is always more fun to catch a monster when your friends are around to witness it. That story will be told and remembered for the rest of their lives...and that is what it is all about!
