No I watch the tracking.  They are enjoying reduced shipping costs on their end.  No other reason for my order to lay in Michigan, Indiana, or Arizona for 24 hours or more.  Once it finally hits Camdenton it is here lickety-split.

5 days to here, and it is every time.  Only time I have experienced slow shipments in when they have a big sale.  I'll usually pony up the $5 and get it here in 2 days.  If it leaves TW the day your order it and it takes 7 days to get to you, it's something to do with the shipping company.

I spend between 50 and 70 bucks on a order. It Is a 1 time a year for me, I use a credit card. I do thnik they n look at your credit line. I do not know why that is important, butI think it is.

As far as Pro Bass and Cabels. They both sell quality and junk. I really believe some quality is junk and some junk is quality. people get all worked up because some pro or some add tells them it is. I used a lot of ugly sticks for years and never ever had one break. They got to heavy for me and I switched to $29 Berkly Cherrywood rods about 2 1/2 yers ago. No problem with them either. Up until this year they were out there fishing 2-4 hours a day nearly every day from March till mid November. That is pretty good quality to me. I am not interested in impressing people with whtvInam paying for tackle.

An order won't ship until the payment is cleared, after that Wrench is right why should it set in some other place awaiting the next leg, reduced or free shipping comes with drawbacks.  Midway used to be extremely fast shipping but the last few things I have bought through them takes longer, heck they are even in MO.  I realized that it may ship from somewhere else in the country depending upon what it is, but yeah the companies make deals with shippers to reduce costs.  I suspect that somewhere there is a study that explores how long americans are willing to wait for something we buy to arrive at the door, and will react accordingly.

It is all about efficiency. They try to move the greatest volunn of freight in most efficient manner. I bet there is very little human decision making in the process. Computers do it all. Everything  just shooting along ramps and tracks according to its bar code. I just do not see how any other way would be possible.

Can't really complain about free shipping @ $50 from TW. They ship UPS Ground for the free shipping and whatever the UPS tracking info says about your package is nearly dead on every time. Might be a delay here and there with weather or an unforeseen event (have seen delays due to mechanical failure of a plane for UPS 2 Day Air...stuff happens). How else do you expect a company to already have the lowest prices on most tackle (not so much on rods and reels unless it's on sale/clearance), carry the largest inventory of any tackle retailer and eat the shipping costs on small orders just over the $50 mark? Shipping is a HUGE expense to a company. If they didn't make these "deals" with UPS they probably couldn't afford to either have low prices on their products or wouldn't be able to give free shipping unless you spent $75 or $100.

For reference you can take this to the bank on when you receive your package:

I know one of the senior managers at our Cabela's in Rogers very well and he's out on the floor quite a bit.
