I had some decent luck today at Suson in the smaller lake. I caught 3 (including a 17"), lost 1, and had a few more bites. All released again. Got them all on a little crappie minnow crankbait primarily casting and retrieving along the shore, but they were spotty.

Well I know I said I thought the Urban Trout program sucked but, I figured with the taxes I pay in this state and City I live in I need to try it. I went to Walker lake in Kirkwood. I had no idea they stock big trout???.... I caught two fish in the wind as I dusted off my old Sage rod. I caught them both on what I would consider a bass fly.....a white clouser.....I am by no means a good fly fisherman anymore but, that being said one of the trout was pushing 4 to 5 lbs, way over 20 inches. the old guys fishing around the lake came over as I was fighting this beast in amazement. the second trout was also nice definitely over 2 lbs.

I had no idea they put big ones in there in the Winter????

I do have a pic.....I don't want to cause un do pressure on that little pond....possibly I will send it to you.....I'm such a dork, I was stripping a clouser I would use for smallies but it worked :)

those ponds don't need much help in regards to being over pressured since they already are. The internet won't cause more people to show up, they are already there. Congrats on the catches. Funny how a naysayer catches some of the bigger fish that were stocked!
