Table Rock Level after Big Rain

Level at 8:40 this morning is 907.4 that is only a rise of 2" in the last 7 days, after a very substantial rain in the White River Basin.  Looks pretty much like the Corps is going to try and maintain a bit of a lower level going into the Spring season.  They are running 4 units this morning and it will be interesting to see how long it takes the lake to start falling again.  I'm all for it.  Seems like they are starting the year with a bang up job.

We fuss at them enough, so I'm giving them a bit of credit where its due.

Yeah this is good.  Bull Shoals is on the low end also and I hope it helps kill out "SOME" of the zebra mussels that have taken hold down there.

The only effect the zebra's have on the lake is costing you some lures. The fishing has been great!

After dealing with Zebra mussels for close to 10 years in Wisconsin I'd rethink that statement. The effects of Zebra mussels here is only starting. The jaws like them but nothing else about them is good,and they're very detrimental to the system. Locate a Lake Winnebago forum from Wisconsin if you want a commentary from fisherman, lake property owners and the WI DNR,however it's too late once they're here.

Plus one on a pat on the back for the Corps. Perhaps this year our fish can have a successful spawn without the threat of the water being pulled down off their beds should we have a major rain event, which is always likely in spring. Without supplemental stocking, Table Rock can use all of the favorable factors it can get for the natural spawn.

Would love to see it at 700. I would be running up and down lake taken pics and looking for baits

At 700  msl you wouldn't be running anywhere, but you could sure see a lot.

I know you meant 900, but again you would not be running anywhere.  Taney is 701 with the water off, so 900 would be river channel.  Boy could we do a massive cleanup.  First thing would be to take out all the crud that MDC put in around the dam, so the SM will come back out on those locations.  Buddy was diving on a bunch of the MDC structure and said the only thing that was holding there much was bluegill and huge flatheads.  Sometimes depending on the size of the structure there would be 2 or 3 flatheads that were just massive.
