They're definitely active! I stalked a local creek yesterday and saw plenty of them swimming around along with all the other usual suspects. I'm pumped man! Thanks for the pic and report.

Moguy1957 and my self were at riveround I was reading 47, but it was overcast saturday....water was extremely low in spots....need rain, but water color is real nice...guess if you were buy a shallow creek it could heat up  a few degrees.  My other buddy was reading 49 by Castlewood yesterday....water is definitely warming up

I just left the river with Hog Wally.....did a short trip......water temps were 55 to 57 everywhere and anywhere we went on the LM.

Perplexing is what I would have called this morning.....I was throwing topwater.....this year has already started off weird.

I will say this......the LM will fish the same as it always has.....if the light switch has been flipped on or the feed switch you are gonna freak out at what you catch.....if that switch is turned off you might as well get on an online forum and talk about fishing because you are piss#%g in the wind otherwise.

I can't wait to get my Coosa out and start doing some short trips :)

I tried the lower Meramec last week and got skunked also.  Well except for a little pod of 8" spots that thought the Super Fluke was the best thing going but I'm not sure they count.

today I went on the middle meramec by the house and got into a few.  Mostly small spots on a crank, one chubby little spot hit the Mitch craw.  Good to finally catch something on that thing, (even if it's a little one) I've felt subpar seeing all you boys post pics of the giants you're catching on that thing.

Then there was this girl, my personal best smallie! 19.5" 3.8lbs.  Took me waaayyy to long to break the 18" mark.  Sorry for the crap photo, is short guys can't hold the phone far enough away?

Great fish!

His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
