C'mon you guys!  I showed you mine!

Nothing to show, Titleist Breath. I went to Academy and bought one identical to yours. That's right. I stole your rig. I totally stole it.

You dog!  I mean, you HOG!  That's like so unbelievably RUDE!  And the guys at Academy told me that mine was a one off, tour staff issue only that was a custom prototype designed specifically for Vandam until he realized that Johnny didn't really even make Ned's so he told them that I could have it!

You might have just tore the sheet on this deal once and for all!

I say again - HOG!

If you ever go to Harbor Freight, they have the best gel super glue in the world.  It comes in a 10 pack card  I think for $3.99  A few weeks ago, I had a big discount coupon and bought 5 ten pack cards for $10.00 total, including tax.  I should be stuck for the Summer now.

Doesn't eat up the Zman bodies?

Not a bit.  I have had some with your heads in a special box with the ZRust material plus an Inhibitor strip since last Summer and the hooks are not rusted and the bodies are in perfect shape.  Used them yesterday on my guide trip. and caught the 1st. keeper of the day on that Dirty little rascal.

Anyone not using the Flambeau Zrust boxes is making a huge mistake.  If you then add an Inhibitor strip to the bottom your tackle is good for at least 3 yrs.   I have had great success with both products.

I try to squirrel away Krazy Glue in my boat bag.  Of course, it's not the gel type Champ likes for the Neds, but it's perfect for patching those line cuts and other painful splits on my hands.  Has come in handy a time or two when the Ned glue was AWOL or dried up.  He's keeping an unopened backup in his new Ned bag now.

Donna,

I have eczema and it just rotates from hand to hand and from finger tip to finger tip. To say that over the last 5 years it has driven absolutely insane is an understatement. During the cold months it becomes 10x worse. What I have been using lately is that liquid bandage stuff. It dries fast and works pretty good to seal up split skin. Working okay for me.

Looks perfect. Well almost perfect. It's not the Vandam model after all.

That was my go-to until I started using super glue.  It's pretty good stuff.

I will be visiting Harbor Freight soon for some of their glue.  Last fall while fishing at LOZ, we were going down the lake, not at high speed but enough to keep on plane, and one of my buddies was gonna use some super glue to help hold the jig bodies on as the hybrids and whites were tearing them up.  Laid it on the deck and the wind caught it, whoosh gone, and sank!  so some extras would be good, of course since that wasn't my boat the extras would likely be in my boat, but a couple in the bag would certainly help.

I used to do that with the Loctite blue bottle (ned) glue. It works great but the more I thought about it, probably not a good idea as that is not it's intended purpose to be used on skin. My skin is already dried out and split so in the end might make matters worse after the quick fix.
