MUCH NEEDED RAIN

I haven't seen that much lighting or heard that much thunder in a long time. The great news is my rain gauge shows almost 4 inches. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but we received some much needed rain. Hopefully, it will turn on the white bass and enable us to get up the rivers to catch them. I haven't heard of anyone who has been really catching them on the Rock. I heard from a friend, that the wb run will not be good until the rivers get a good flushing.

It looks like most of the area received about 2 inches. I guess I'm going to name my rain gauge the fisherman!

Glad you guys got some much needed rain in good quantities.  My neck of the woods only got .52 inches.

Beats me, we had about a quarter of an inch, didn't even make a puddle.  I was hoping for a couple inches, think the dry ground would have soaked it all up if it didn't come too fast.  What we have came and went quickly, massive wind around 10:00 p.m. then a little rain and lightning then gone.  Not sure it was even enough to help the mushrooms.

We got a decent amount over here most are saying 1" plus or minus a tad   Keep in touch with the white bass when those getting to going they are absolutely my favorites to catch.  It isn't Rocket science and are good eating when prepared right.

I was hanging out in the garage with the dog last night when it hit Springfield. It was coming down hard but the ground was soaking it up fast. It wasn't running down the side of the street like it normally does.

I am about 50 miles north of Springfield, and other than the wind and a little lightning it was quickly over.  I haven't been home to check for damage around home, but I know the wind hit hard and made the whole house creak and groan.

Bill, I'm here off 265 & Stormypoint Rd and we got some rain last night but not enough to have a good run off. I'm sitting on the deck watching the white caps rolling into the dam area. Probably will get out tomorrow and try fir some of those deeper schools I've been reading about from you, Beck & others on here.
