dan hufferd Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 I went fishing with my friend Steve to try out his new boat hardware. Found some nice crappies. 11 to 14 inches only 2 were female, they were the 2 smallest. I get schooled every time I fish with Steve. Seth, Muddy Water, BilletHead and 9 others 12

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 11, 2017 Root Admin Posted March 11, 2017 Where were they? In brush, on the bank or out suspended on a flat? Did you get the water temp? Muddy Water 1

On the bank, in the lay downs, temp 56 to 60. Water temp seemed to fluctuate drastically with the wind. magicwormman, Johnsfolly and Phil Lilley 3

Phil, I've caught these under docks over pretty deep water. Water holding 52 even this morning. I think these are eating, not spawning yet - anytime I'm sure. dan hufferd, Phil Lilley, BilletHead and 8 others 11
Johnsfolly Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Great Job Dan on the crappie! Nice pile of eaters. I agree with Ben. The ones that I have kept were all pre-spawn condition. The eggs were still not really developed in the females. magicwormman and dan hufferd 2

I guess I figured that they would have eggs, but I really don't know much about crappie and you can tell by how I fish for them. Ha HA My buddy Steve a crappie catching dude for sure magicwormman 1
