Just SMH at why anyone would bolt a 250 on a tin boat.

Nothing against tin boats. They're a blast to fish out of. But dang, doesn't common sense kick in at some point?

Oh Dave, its like adding pop rocks to your Pepsi. That sound and tingle from the "fizz" is something thats hard to understand until you try it.

I was gonna go buy that one, but i wanted a white one.  Guess the red Tracker will do for now

I see how you are. With the other 2 Xpress owners joining us this year, we may have to rename our club "Xpress Boats and other Tin Club".

The expense, for one. Big motors aren't cheap. Kind of bites into one of the main reasons for running tin.

Weight distribution has to be a mess with that on the back.

And no matter what you strap to an aluminum, it is still going to be limited on speed by the hull material.

Those are a few. More power to them though, pun intended.

On the BBC in the Xpress boat forum, Bob has a youtube video of his X19 "which i have" running 87 gps.  not too many glass boats will run that speed. The express boats have a pad hull which makes them a different beast. It's funny in that video it's during a tournament take off and several glass boats take off first and as the video progresses you see him passing one after the other. Pretty cool stuff for us aluminum boat guys

No interest in running 87 in a glass boat. Even less in aluminum. I have a picture in mind of a ruptured shell case.

Wowzers.  I ain't interested in going 87 in my Tahoe!

I'm picturing a smashed beer can 15 feet up on a bluff wall.
