We decided to try the Rock Thursday for a change and see if we could get some quality fish.  We had a good SE wind with clouds and used a variety of baits.  We wound up catching 22 bass but most were dinks.  We used A rigs, worms, spinner baits, crank baits, jigs, and jerks.  Most of the fish were on jerks close to the bank.  Bluffs, points, rocks, gravel, cuts, etc.  We just couldn't find quality fish.

BBT is just 2 weeks out. Might be hard to get a response on where the big ones are hiding.

The big fish bite is non existent! I haven't heard of anything decent, since the cold front. Hopefully, the bite will improve with some warmer temps.

I would go back and read Bill Babler's post from two weeks ago () on swimming the grub.  Based on that information, your boat was probably on top of the fish.  Try it, just a hunch.  Good luck.

I agree with the above statement, and maybe watch Pete Wenner's lastest video report.

I almost hate to say this, but if you stick with the Ned all day you should run across a few quality fish.  And if you're catching smaller fish, match your tackle to the fish and have some fun.

That second part holds a lot of truth. Deep or shallow, the good ones don't seem to want anything moving, or made of the hard stuff.

I forgot to list it but I did swim a grub around deeper water.  Dinks were the name of the game there also.

Take the little guy up shallower than you might expect. Transitions and isolated big rocks.

I know this is not a monster by any stretch of the imagination but I caught this one on Saturday during the real crappy weather.  It is my largest bass from table rock and my 3rd largest bass to date.  I am more of a walleye and crappie fisherman but I do enjoy fishing to much to turn down a tournament pre fishing trip with a very good friend.  We did well that day and it payed off the next day for him as well.  This one was around the 5 # mark and to me thats a solid fish. :)
