Besides, even if I did exercise better judgement, my wife ain't about to let ANY of these jerkwads slide.

Same here, my friend. Although I do have to remind mine occasionally on the golf course that there are usually four men in the foursome ahead of us who are slowing things down and one of me. Now if someone in the group behind us hits into us, the gloves are off regardless if it's 4 against 1.

THAT is awesome!  I can't believe I never saw that before!

Now, to keep this in the proper vein of the forum I gotta ask - do they go fishing next?

I do that with big power boats that come too close! Casting range!

So I got that goin' for me - which is nice.

You got one of those too?? That's awesome.

Mine has put me into some pretty interesting situations but if you act crazy enough most of these "men" will just walk away quietly. Brings back memories of Quick Trip store in the wrong part of KC where I surely should have lost my life. Good times.

Ain't it great?  I used to think that I did a pretty good job all by myself of getting into "awkward" situations but with her nothing's off limits or out of the question!  I've more than once considered carrying a 5 iron with me just for the heck of it.

A good buddy of mine is married to a little Indian gal that's about as no BS as it gets.  The two of them were leaving a bar a few years back when she said she was going to stop at the restroom if he wanted to ahead and get the truck.  About ten minutes later, a couple of guys came out to parking to tell him that he might want to get back inside cause she was about to throw down with a group of guys.

My buddy asked how many of 'em were there?  Guys said, "three."

My buddy says, "That's no big deal.  She'll be alright."

And she was.  That girl's like five pizzed off Navy Seals with four arms each.

I need to take her fishing some time - she'd definitely teach 'em a few manners and I'd like to have her along to back up some of my wife's "hellos" to the less than courteous.

The worst situation she ever put us in wasn't even her fault, unless being blonde and beautiful is a fault. I stopped at a QT to take a leak and grab some snacks. I knew it wasn't in the best part of town but I had been in there many times before and didn't think this time would be any different. I'm not even a little bit racists but we stood out in this particular neighborhood if you know what I'm saying. We picked out our stuff and then I went to the bathroom while she paid for it. I made it a quick one and come out of the bathroom to find three guys standing right behind her at the counter. And I mean right behind her, almost against her. They pretty much had her pinned against the counter. She saw me and I could tell she was terrified. So I pushed my way through the crowd of people and grabbed the first guy I came to by the back of the neck and forcibly removed him. Grabbed our stuff off the counter. Grabbed my wife and headed for the door. But the entire way to the car I'm raging mad and letting everybody in the vicinity know it. I'm sure the N word was used. The F bomb was flowing freely. And I'm pretty sure I threatened to kill everyone in the store. But I can't stand intimidation.

This is why I feel that if you act crazy enough then nobody will even attempt to stop you. People came out of that store just to watch us leave. And nobody spoke a single word. I thought I was going to get beat or shot or something, but they all just stood there with this amazed look on their faces.

About 5 miles down the road once we had both calmed down my wife told me that she never even got a chance to pay for our stuff. :)

Vernon and Champ, my wife would have a problem with each of you because of the R boat. We had one run through a cut within 12 feet of us, after expressing that she thought they were idiots, she then said (I guess if you own a ranger you think you own the water also).  The waves were a lot smaller than if they had shut down when they were on top of us, but it was a very unsafe action on their part as a lot of things can happen in a boat running 50+ mph, and can happen in a hurry. I myself only wish you two would fish more so we don't have to read about golf.

I think I know that Quick Trip!  Not really, but I'm sure I'm familiar with the part of town you were in.  My closest near death experience was pretty similar only it was a Papa Murphy's pizza joint of all places.  Not KC but Leavenworth (where I grew up) which can be almost as bad in some areas.

I'll spare you the details but every time I've looked back on it I, too, wonder how I made it out of there alive much less pretty much in charge of the situation.  They were obviously a little startled/taken aback by my "attitude" and we booked before anybody had enough time to think about it.

Although, compared to your deal I kinda got screwed cause she had already paid for the danged pizza!

Needless to say I never went back for a rematch!

But you're right.  Sometimes crazy just might save your life.

I gotta say that I, too, have seen plenty of Ranger guys acting the complete fool on numerous occasions.  Maybe it's the "mine's bigger" complex or something.

I guess stupid knows no brand loyalty.

Nonetheless, I promise you that I don't operate my boat in that manner and I'm sure that Champ doesn't either - although his personality and temperament might have the same effect on your wife so there's that..............

As for the golf stuff, that's all his fault although sometimes he does manage to drag me and a couple of other innocent bystanders into it.

I'll try and do a better job of abstaining in the future!
