abkeenan Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Do you have a boat? Or are you just fishing FROM the bank?

So, no boat yet. beating the banks Probably a GOOD rule. Plenty of places to fish around SDC there around Indian Point. Can also head further towards the dam and lots of good banks to fish there as well. Around Moonshine Beach and the dam spillway offers decent fishing. The banks around the Branson Belle are loaded with small mouth as well. Just make your way down to the water and focus on main lake, secondary points or gravel flats near deeper water. From the reports that seems to be where fish are congregated. Can always catch them on a Ned Rig. Other baits to try would be a 3-5" swimbait on a jig head, a topwater of your choice (Spook, Pop R or Redfin) or a finesse jig with craw trailer. Not sure on your tackle options but those should get you bit. Fishing from the bank a lot of bites often times will come on the drop when throwing into that 15-30 foot range. Sometimes a lighter jig like a 5/16th spider jig with a paca chunk that flaps can be killer as it has a slower fall. Topwater shines right around sunset when the light starts to fade. Good luck! Members ICI Posted June 2, 2017 Author Members Posted June 2, 2017 Awesome thanks. I have a few ned's, but do have plenty of top water, jigs and softbaits. I'll load the backpack. Thanks again... Donna G 1

Champ188 Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Find a friend with a boat and ask him to go directly to Beardsley Branch. Best spot on the lake hands-down. abkeenan, big c, vernon and 2 others 5
