Haven't had a lot of time to write a report...  it's been mixed but mainly good.  My jigs haven't done that well but bait rules, mainly night crawlers.  Here are some pics.  The first 5 are from Bill Babler and most are from the trophy area it looks like.

Sean Hudson caught and released this beautiful 23-inch brown trout this morning. He's been fishing here since 2001 and it's the largest trout he's caught. He'll have a replica made of his trophy. The brown was a triploid.

Duane caught this one off the dock on a white jig yesterday morning.

Jimmy tells me we've had 5 trophy trout reported today so far.  The girl with the rainbow is one.  The last photo is two.  I have a rainbow in the tank recovering is 3 (no pic yet).  I'll have to check on 4 and 5.

What is considered a trophy trout?

A trophy is in the eyes of the beholder. A lunker is 3lb or larger.

I agree that a trophy is what each person sets in their mind. For me a trophy in Taneycomo may be that first brown trout that I catch to finish one of my life goals. After that It would have to be over 6 lbs for me to consider it a trophy. If that was the same fish then all the better:)! I have seen plenty caught down there that well exceed that size.

Trout are gems and as such go up in value as they get bigger! I think a trophy is to each person's eye, a 10 year old girl with a 20" bow is a lifetime memory she will never forget...

IMHO such fish do that build memories, each of should look back to remember memorable catches, I think we will find not all were the biggest ever.

MONKEYS? what monkeys?

I would love too see someone catch one over 6lbs

In my reference, it's a 20-inch plus trout.
