Mitch f Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I could be way off but I think this is so disrespectful to boxing. I can't believe the hype has reached such a fever pitch. Floyd will destroy Conor McGregor in no time. I can't even comprehend there are some people who believe McGregor can win. To be honest I hope McGregor beats Mayweather. But it ain't gonna happen. Flysmallie Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Yeah McGregor is in a no win situation. Unless you count the money he makes and the fame he has received. It's nothing about toughest. It's like asking the best pitcher in baseball to go out and play QB like Tom Brady. Ain't happening. Conor comes out making a lot of money but he's going to take an asskicking to get it. Mitch f 1
Johnsfolly Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I think that it will be an embarrassment more than a beating. Mayweather has never been known as a power puncher. Once he wins then he can pay his taxes. Yeah right! Mitch f 1
Deadstream Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 I think McGregor is in a win , win situation. He is not expected to win, if he does it's a win. Money(what this is all about) is a win. Will he take a beating, maybe, but he does that every time he gets in the cage. Write me that check and I will climb in that ring as soon as I finish this bowl of ice cream. Mitch f Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 If McGregor is able to last a few rounds, he could get a little respect perhaps, but it's almost like a participation trophy at that point. I bought the Pay per view Mayweather vs Paquiao fight. I had a party with 25-30 people coming over, which consisted of family, friends, and about 10 friends from the local gym I belong, and their girlfriends. During the preflight BS on the tv, one of my buddys says "Hey, did you pay your cable bill?" I turned around to a blank screen. Apparently Charter hadn't correctly forecasted the shear amount of pay per view purchases, and it just locked up. There were 3-4 states who lost the broadcast...Missouri was one. Most of the guys from the gym and their girlfriends left to go to a local bar to see the fight. But they left their booze and 10 people got to finish all the Tacos! 😂😂😂😂 Johnsfolly, Daryk Campbell Sr and WoundedOne 3 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Johnsfolly Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Yes. Booze and tacos! Who needs a fight? Did they still charge you for the fight? grizwilson and Mitch f 2
