Up by outlet 1 on a big jointed jerk bait, certainly not a fly. That thing would have taken me for a ride on the fly rod!

Wrench you need to bring you fly rod down to the area in front of Al Couches place. Biggest gar Ever caught  ( 50" ) was in Bough bay I seen one surface about 5 ft from the front of my boat up by Al's i swear was was a good 5 ft and as big around as a football.

yeah I know ot doesnt. Mine either but it is qction in these slow times. worst part of it is having them in the boat. they can be nasty in close quarters. Then again anything with 4 rows of choppers on eating end I Suppose can do that. That pair that stick out from the sides I think helps them captire pray. Those things can puncture a heavy work glove.

That is a nomad mid-length net from fishpond- 37" in length. Admittedly no tape long enough, we measured that fish with both the net and tape pieced together- 50" app.

Thats a nice one cracklebak!  Always fun catching them in the dark.  The one I caught down there a few years ago made a B line for my cuz as soon as he turned his headlamp on.  Jumped out of the water right at him and almost ended up in his vest LOL.  He then made a B line to shore LOL.  Was a great funny moment for sure @fmcbrandon
