Who knows maybe Roadrunners are the best all around Smallmouth bait. 

Roadrunners are actually a very good bait for a lot of gamefish.

Actually on the rivers Ron fished, which were typically gin clear, Road runners were a good choice. RIP Ron

Well life is short.  He will be missed.  I liked his contributions on here and we shared a fly pattern or two.  Wish I had met him in person.

Very sorry to read this.   Ron, I don't know if  you will ever see this, but thanks for all the stories.   Luckily, I was able to message him a few times after he came back.  A good man.
