Sore Thumbs Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 That flat at the mouth could be excellent topwater area. There are several banks on the left hand side that are awesome wiggle wart banks with deep bluff banks and flats on opposite side. Lots of bait fish in spring and fall as well. Good area.
Quillback Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Alright, enough talk about the RR cove. There's better areas, Aunts Creek for example. Nothing to be seen here, move along, move along. Bass Yakker, BilletHead, Royal Blue and 4 others 3 1 3

Champ188 Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Long Creek is far better than Roaring River. Far, far better! merc1997 Bo 1

Yes, it looked pretty good to me. I seen a Bassboat back in the right channel. Seems the bluff walls there were pretty steep

LOL As a note I caught some of the biggest white bass in RR that I have caught in the lake, Once pulled up to the dock at big M and the guy pumping gas one day asked "if we caught anything," told him "some white bass and did he have a scale?"..with bored indifference at our catch report he pointed us to a scale, My brother and I picked out the 4 biggest..and the guy perked up and said "THOSE ARE SOME NICE WHITES!"...the scales said the smallest was just over 3# largest an oz under 4# (still wish I had mounted that one) he started pumping us for info then 5 hours ago, snagged in outlet 3 said: The thread could be about anything and Mocarp has to interject carp into it. "crap its another channel cat" back in the day thought I had a wall hanger smallmouth in Stockton, after 20 min of fight finally saw it was about a 12# common carp, to say my heart sank was an understatement..got pissed at just a darn carp..but it was a fight I still remember as one of the best I ever had,..If you told be I would be fishing for them on purpose, I prob would have put you off my boat.... MONKEYS? what monkeys?
Will S. Posted October 20, 2017 Author Posted October 20, 2017 At least ya got to eat the Smoked Oysters. Yummmm
