Targa98 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 It really was a great time to fish. Really makes AMATEURS feel pretty good when they have to weigh in during these things. I was lucky enough to get a couple checks myself but just couldnt find that big fish we were looking for. (3.89 & 3.65) so between that and my partner getting a check also we pretty much made out entry and gas with a little extra. So mych fun though and I will def be doing it again next year with a little more knowledge on what to expect. I really kicks a guys butt throwing that A-Rig in clear water for 2 days straight. We prob should have just been up a river throwing RCs and SBs all weekend but it was a good time none the less. And have I mentioned how much I hate the WIND!!!!! you had to be in it though to get bit. At least thats what we found...We maybe had 10-12 keepers in 2 days and that many shorts Id say. Tough weekend in all but beats working anyday.
SplitG2 Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Caught some good Spotted bass on bluff ends but ditched them to search for LM’s to weigh in. Any other weekend i would have stayed put and had more fun. Congrats Brett. That’s a few years in a row for you. Quillback and Champ188 2

I put a note on the SUV with the attached trailer in the driveway but I guess the wind blew it off. Congratulations on your tourney results. Mike
evilcatfish Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Maybe I missed the info somewhere, but were any good sized smallies or spots weighed in? Just curious

The BBT staff would have to answer that as they see everything coming in. In the two hours I weighed in I did see a couple SM and K's weighed in but not many. Guy at the tanks next to me had a beautifully marked K. Would have been lucky to break 3lbs but was a typical football. Really hard to cash on a bronze fish or butterball spot. evilcatfish 1

I know we did pretty well on an A-Rig (brother) and Jerker (me) on the windblown pockets across from the Belle.
Big Bass Tour Posted March 27, 2018 Author Posted March 27, 2018 We had 861 anglers compete this year which was down just a little from last year but the number was affected by a large group of 70 that didn’t compete this year. Yes, we will likely host a three day event on the Rock next year. Already looking forward to it. The Ozarks and Table Rock are a very special place. Big thank you to all who participated, we appreciate you. Hope everyone had a blast. Come join us on Dardanelle in June! SupremeJCK, Lake Lover, abkeenan and 2 others 4 1
Targa98 Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Hey EvilCat, not saying this was a huge fish but we did weigh a Smallie that went 3.57 and was good enough for a 10th place check in one of the Sunday weigh ins. Again, Not a huge fish by any means but it was a beautiful fish. The other 2 we weighed for checks were both Blacks and we caught some nice Ks that just were under 3 that we did not weigh in and would not have checked.
Ketchup Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 3 day event? Now thats stepping up the game. This lake could host such an ordeal as th format allows anglers freedom to choose put in locations, etc. it was mentioned several times last year about weighin being mid-lake to make it more feesible. But again we understand the reason "$$$$" why you have it at that location. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
