So "normal people" can't live in the environment that they were born into without the help of commercial products, special clothing, and lots of clinics ? Only abnormal people can ? That seems backwards to me.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I do it because sunburns hurt then they itch. I’m delicate.
Quillback Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 Cancer of any kind is a bad way to go, treatments for it aren't fun either. Much easier to put on some sunscreen, wear clothing, and big hats. Takes about one minute to put on the sunscreen, even less if you go with the aerosol spray. BilletHead and snagged in outlet 3 2
MOPanfisher Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I use sunscreen on my ears and face anymore. Have had and will have more spots frozen off. Drs. Said I am at a higher riskmof skin cancer now due to my diagnosis and treatments. When younger I didn't even know what sunscreen was, I burned then it turned into a tan for the rest of the year. After everything I went through I would hate for a malignant skin tumor to be the end of me. I also we at a lot of the thin/lightweight long sleeve shirts, have pretty well gotten used to them, and sweating which seems to my new Super power after chemo. grizwilson 1

Yeah you don't wear boots or warm clothes or heat and cool your house. You just popped out of momma and been naked and thriving ever since. Come on man!! grizwilson, Flysmallie and fishinwrench 1 2
grizwilson Posted January 5, 2018 Author Posted January 5, 2018 My use or "Some" protection started about 25 years ago, my fishing buddy Jim had some spots froze off...the next year more, the 3rd year they took off his left year, he used Duct tape to hold his sunglasses on, he told me to protect myself "this is a female doggy", the next year he had Duct tape on both sides of his head, the fifth year he could no longer fish, there was not a 6th.... I agree with Wrench's statement on his father, the quality of life becomes so low what is the use, all you do is treatment and suffer. My sister has been stage 4 ovarian for nearly 23 years (1995) she has suffered more chemo, radiation and experiments than I could survive , she is tougher than me. BUT that is why I am preaching PREVENTION not treatment. PREVENTION....you don't want this stuff. fishinwrench Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I love the feel of the sun on my skin, I actually start feeling yucky if I go awhile without it. The sun is the #1 reason that there is life on Earth. I'm skeptical that it is the sun that is causing all of the skin "cancer" we have nowadays. It is more likely all the other crap that we expose ourselves to. Many folks shower everyday in treated city water, spray cologne all over themselves, rub deodorant on themselves, breathe nail polish and hair spray fumes everyday, install scent dispensers in their homes, eat food cooked on Teflon or in a microwave. They gladly gobble up every chemical that their doctors prescribe, ect.ect. Then when some weirdness pops up on their bodies they succumb to the programming that "too much time in the sun caused it". For free thinking folks that is just rediculous. And for creationists it indicates a lack of faith in their creator, you should be blaming the stuff that man made instead of the stuff that God made. grizwilson 1
