What are you listening to?

You all got me listening to videos on you tube,

Peter Gabrial has been around a long time and really sings some neat songs,

"We have met the enemy and it is us",

Pogo

If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend"

Lefty Kreh

" Never display your knowledge, you only share it"

Lefty Kreh

"Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!"

BilletHead

" One thing in life is for sure. If you are careful you can straddle the barbed wire fence but make one mistake and you will be hurting"

BilletHead

P.S. "May your fences be short or hope you have long legs"

My buddy Phil and I saw Elvin and Charlie Musselwhite at the Sheldon a few weeks ago.  What a harp player Charlie is.  And they had their own amps on stage and house microphones were positioned right in from of them.  I assume they are vacuum tube amps and Elvin and Charlie prefer their sound.

Cool! Restoring tube amps is an old hobby of mine. Built a few customs too, they sound like my youth.

I can't dance like I used to.

I was always a tube amp guy till I quit playing. A good friend & monster player bought my '73 Marshall Superbass & traded my Boogie Single Rectifier head (with good glass- 7581As in the power amp & early '80's Chinese grey plate 12AX7s) with a VHT 2x12 cab for a full sleeve tattoo.

Down in NC, I was fortunate to become friends with a handful of boutique amp builders & luthiers. Evil spirits live in electricity, so I don't poke around inside, but when your buddy who builds world class vintage Marshall clones with a 9-12 month waiting list lives just down the road, it was nice to be able to pop by & have him look over & go through my amps.
