merc1997 Bo Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 ended up with 6 keepers, and the mix was 3 lmg and 3 brownies. depth from the bank to 20 ft. great pattern right? bites was where you found it. bait of the day was a 1/8 CrappieJig with a piece of Elaztec on it. i actually did have one bite on a jerk bait, but did not hook it. we also had 6 or 8 shorts. bo Champ188, 176champion, Wart 57 and 2 others 5
Champ188 Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Dang, things are so bad that even Bo is throwing a Ned. Thanks for letting us know how you did. Gotta get better in the not-too-distant future. January in the Ozarks is just a dud of a month. Too cold to golf most days and if you CAN get out and fish, the silly things don't usually want to bite. abkeenan, Sore Thumbs, Daryk Campbell Sr and 3 others 6
Sprint21fter Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 I was thinking about pulling out some 1.5inch crappie minnows on 1/8 oz head and letting them flutter around some docks and timber Saturday. Couldn't get a reaction bite on a crankbait at all. Way to go Bo.
abkeenan Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Anyone bother to try the Float n Fly? If they are on the small stuff might give that a whirl, no? Quillback 1
dwiebenga Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Anyone use the Damiki Rig like Wheeler did at Cherokee last year?

Guest Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 here is the critter that got them. was fishing it on 10 lb. test braid. bo abkeenan 1
Guest Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 hint: when they will bite a slightly larger offering, the 3" elaztec shad can be more effective than the "trd". it stands up just as well or even better. bo Daryk Campbell Sr 1
