Ham Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 Meh, I can be a complete heretic and state that I truly don’t believe the Ned is anywhere near as effective as it once was. Still a good option, but not a sure thing for >40 bass anymore Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

vernon Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 All I know is that if the Ned bite is dead then I'm dead too! Without Ned my so called "fishing" trips would quickly become not much more than boat rides and golf. Might just have to sell the 'ol Ranger and get me one of those big posterior cabin cruisers and a couple jet skis! On second thought, Lord, take me now - I no longer have reason to live........ dtrs5kprs, LD Fisher, tho1mas and 2 others 5 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." gitnby Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 As I have mentioned before, there's a little trick that I use that helps. Before putting it on the head, take the blunt end of the bait and squeeze it between your thumb and forefinger. This will create a little 'bulge' on the end, which I cut off with scissors or knife. Now you have a concave center. thread your bait on hook, and before snugging it up to the head, put your drop of glue in that little 'pocket'. The head seats right down in the pocket, which really keeps it on well, and doesn't get glue all over the rest of the rig. Because the head is now nestled down in the elastech a bit, you get a slight little tiny bounce when you drag it, or hit a rock. I have observed this in clear water, and it does make a difference. snagged in outlet 3, Quillback, LD Fisher and 2 others 4 1

Aw for cryin' out loud - how am I ever supposed to remember all of that now too? Fishins' getttin' to be as hard as golf! dtrs5kprs 1 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."
