Basfis Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Got out for a few hours for some spring break bass around Kimberling City. Was slower than I hoped. My last outing was 3/3 and I was surprised to see the temps down 2 degrees in the clean water. Saw from 44-48 in clear water, 48-50 with color. Color is on the dam side of the KC bridge though the creeks there were still clean. Mill was dirty front to back. Who knows with the forecasted rain. Caught a few, marked many more. Best below. Royal Blue, Sore Thumbs, kdc and 12 others 15

Johnsfolly Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 That is an awesome bass! Congrats Basfis! Not bad for a couple of hours on the water. Basfis 1
Royal Blue Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 We had mid 50's water temps on Wednesday up the Kings. Strange how things aren't just leveling off at all. Basfis 1

It’s warmer with color....now if it would be colored with targets shallow 🙂 It is uncomfortable for me to be more than a pitch from the bank. hitting it again tomorrow. Guess we will let the sky and wind determine the attack plan. Royal Blue 1
Royal Blue Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Where there was wood shallow, there were fish. Not in every spot, but enough to make it interesting. big c 1
gitnby Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Went out about 3:30 today and fished til 5:15 PM Caught 2 fat K’s on the Ned , that was it. Both were in about 6 feet of water on main lake chunk rock. Johnsfolly, Quillback and magicwormman 3
Basfis Posted March 18, 2018 Author Posted March 18, 2018 Fished KC area again today. Rigged all but 1. Had 10-11 keepers Was told of a crankbait bite, it has me stumped. I’d rather grind a wart than sling a rig any day. Did manage 1 late in the day on a wart and broke one off on a wart. Sad day, it was my last original natural green. magicwormman, big c, Bushbeater and 1 other 3 1
