Members Dinkslayer Posted April 18, 2018 Members Posted April 18, 2018 I guess everyone that predicted the spawn slaughter during the BBB this year was one-upped by mama nature! Still had water temps in the low 50's last Sunday and Monday. Good Luck, it only takes one cast!
fishinwrench Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Yeah I don't think they are "interrupting" the spawn this year, but I bet there will be a bunch of fish looking for a place to nest within a mile or two of the release sites, probably within the next 3 weeks. Too bad they can't just spawn in the coves where they are currently. Nothing over 2.7lbs. will get left where they are.

dnj21 Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Guy from work is fishing it and his partner is pre-fishing all week. REAL slow, lost a 4# boat side yesterday but no other "BBB" level fish. They are really scratching their heads as to where to go or what to do. Not sure where they are pre-fishing.....
fishinwrench Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Went out for a test run today in the upper end of the Gravois and you'd have thought the Bash had already begun. Access parking lot was full, and Bass boats... friggin EVERYWHERE ! Totally insane.
slothman Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 I’m really hoping that I can find a place to park at the put in ramp. This is my first BBB. I really have no idea what to expect.

Basfis Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Pre fishing a big bass event baffles me. Like anyone in the history of the world establishes a pattern for 8lb fish.... anyone have a productive explanation for catching a fish prior to a big bass event? Or, ever positively caught a big fish twice in a 3 day span that didn’t involve a bed? evilcatfish, Royal Blue and Smalliebigs 3
