Durn Bo, that thing looks more than Deadly.  Glad you got on I just knew there was something after dark going on down there.  In the day the place is just a Horrible Zoo.

bill, it is a 1 oz. GrassJig with a musky size chatter blade.  the lmg's up this way like it to.  it will get those finicky bottom feeders to commit when nothing else will, even in the day.  this is the second year i have been using it.  had to get all the quirks out, and also all the nuances of using it.  it is very easy to fish all the way out to 30'.  we are going to get a video done to show how to fish this yet to be named lure.

Bill, thanks for the details. Between baseball, softball, building a house and oh ya, work.... haven't been on the water since Late April. Off tomorrow and taking the 8 and 12 year old down this p.m. and putting the boat on the lift ready for tomorrow a.m.  I've been hearing similar details from a friend who's saying he's doing well also.  Between the two of you it is much appreciated. Need to get the kids into them.

there is the ticket to get the kids out fishing.

Great report sounds like a perfect time to take the kids fishing!

I was out last night from 7 pm to midnight and I fished the Kim City area . I had 10 with 5 keepers and two went 3 pounds! But I was fishing points, bluff ends. I was fishing a t rig craw and two came on a jig! You would think the night bite would be better and with a full moon?????

Man, I think that's pretty durn decent with 5 keeps and a couple over 3 lbs.  Remember what I said in my post about Big Boy fishing, it is not the same in any way shape or form as guide fishing, swimming small swim baits and drop shot, not even in the same world.

Ricky and I are fishing just about the same, and in the last two weeks our guide boats have caught and released over 1000 bass.  In that period we have maybe had 1/2 a dozen combined, 3 lb or better fish, with nothing over 4 lbs.

Not even with Ed and Al very seasoned anglers we only had maybe again 1/2 dozen at close to 3 lbs.  That's on a jig, a big swim bait and a Lake Fork flutter spoon.

Nope bassman, I think ya did good.

hint.  got to move around and find the areas where the most shad are.  then, these bass are on flatter terrain this year.  last year, you needed to be on something steep.  that magnum elite blade allows you one to cover lots of water in those flat areas, and two, it has so much sound and vibration it will draw bass from a distance just to see what it is.  we had several brownies in the 3 lb. class last night, all on that big thumping bladed jig.  could not get much love on anything else.  one other hint.  put the boat up in shallow water part of the time and pull up the hill.
