duane I would really like to send you about a half dozen crankbaits and have you paint them in the sculpin color.......sculpin live on the bottom, under the rocks just like a crawdad.   They bite crankbaits drifting in the current so they should hammer a scuplin colored crankbait digging along the bottom like your fat free shads right?

Travis,

im having a hard time finding the time to paint them for me. I have 6 half way painted for over a week now.

A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!!

Oh heck no, I pour and sell all kinds of baits or did atleast. It's time consuming as heck.  I pretty much just make stuff for myself at this point cause I have a little 7 year old girl that I don't like taking time away from. Plus I don't have a tenth of the talent that Duane does. Everything that guy does is top notch from walleye fishing, trout fishing, wood working, lure painting etc.

Totally understand. I was pretty much joking but I think they would work awesome.  I've got a couple things in mind for November if they are running enough water to drift cranks then.

I said this in my other thread, and before, but Duane has truly matched the hatch with these baits so to speak.  The Sculpin pattern has soo much detail in it, that the pics don't really do it justice.  Need Phil to shoot some Macro shots with them.

Travis I think you are heading in the right direction with painting those cranks.  I know we trolled the big white cranks bouncing them on the bottom, I bet a sculpin painted one would be deadly.

Everything he does he takes it up a notch or two.

kinda like another guy named Marty that I've come to know.  That dudes poppers and flies and their detail are amazing to see!

Nothing like that Duane character. Makes me want to create again. Kind of slacked off this Summer,

Marty I truly miss my old zara puppies... Lost my last one a few years ago, and have missed a few on ebay here and there.  Those little half sized zara spooks were magic for fishing the creeks.  Just saying if a certain individual were to make some hand crafted replicas there could be some demand LOL :)

I would second that!
