I think the herd mentality has taken over once again.  I'm reasonably sure that I'm not the only one on OAF that feels like LD is probably more credible than he is being given credit for.   Since the MDC remains quiet regardless of allegations and is always assumed to be using funds wisely and operating in a right & proper fashion, then I'll add to my side of the fence all whom also remain quiet in this discussion.   Thereby we overwhelmingly outnumber you, and accept victory in this debate.

Seriously though, many of you sound like you are defending your child.   "He's my son so there's no way he could ever do anything wrong.  Anyone who accuses him of wrongdoing is instantly deemed a crackpot". 

Meanwhile the jackass son sits quietly in the corner, playing Yahtzee on his cell phone, and waits for Daddy to make it all go away.

Given that this thread is 12 pages long, are we actually sure that anyone has remained quiet?

Eh, it doesn't bother me. I have several friends that play devil's advocate to the point where it's an art form.

It's pretty funny. One guy in particular I know has taken every different side of just about every hot button issue, just depending on who he's talking to. He could be a far-right fanatic or a flaming liberal any day of the week depending on who he's talking to. It's a talent, because his arguments usually are shockingly coherent and logical. 

I literally have no idea what his actual political beliefs are.

I could easily take the opposite side of this debate, but there'd be nobody to debate it with.   

I'd just say "prove it" and the argument would end there.  LD has kinda proven it, I mean he has dropped names of witnesses and stuff....but nobody has actually fact-checked him.  Or if they did they kept quiet about the actual findings.    I for sure don't think he is just making stuff up, so it makes for interesting discussion IMO.

I won't argue politics because too many people take it too seriously.  About a month ago a political debate in a barber shop in Eldon ended with two in the hospital and one in jail.   That's a bit excessive!

He 100% made up the CWD stats. There is no proof, ever, anywhere, in any scientific literature CWD has been transferred to humans by eating venison. He claims 75 people died from ingesting CWD contaminated meat in Colorado. Will it eventually be able to transfer from deer to humans? Maybe. Heck, even probably. But right now it doesn't. And that is an absolute fact. I've had lengthy talks with Dr. Kelly Straka, a widllife veterinarian, around this.

Which, in and of itself, contradicts himself. Because he vehemently complains about the MDC wanting to have the CWD management zones, and the thinning out of deer in certain areas. So he says people are dying of CWD but says the MDC is way out of line for trying to contain it. Which is it, Larry?? He can't even keep his stories straight.

I haven't heard/read his take on the CWD thing.   I'm pretty much in Ted Negents camp on that one.  I'm in favor of ignoring it at this point and spending ZERO additional money in it's name.
