I caught a few tonight, here are my 2 best. Landed about 10, about half were definitely Hybrids, some were Whites and not sure about the bigger one in this pic. Curiously the Whites were larger than the Hybrids. Made 2 nice sacks of fillets. I usually trim out the blood line and sometimes the ribs when preparing to cook them.

pink out is the time.

I don't know this. Never in my life caught a white or a hybrid.

wth is "pink out"? is that something that I've used for fifty years and it never had a name before like nedrig or shot drop?

Now we're talkin'!    👍

My freezer is empty because of a lousy Spring run.   I need to get out there and try to find some Whites.

I've seen a few pods of whites go crazy on top on the upper end, but as soon as they come up, they disappear.  At least they are there, which is more than I can say for last fall.

Thanks, I still know as much as I did. That's OK though because whites don't come up my crick.

Nice hybrids!  This time of the year in the right place can be a blast the last hour of daylight.  I will be heading down for the week Saturday with hopes to get my string stretched long and often.

I wish I knew how to catch them before they move onto the shallow flats, but so far, for me, that has proven to be about as successful as playing horse shoes blindfolded.    Once they put 1/4 to 1/2 mile between themselves and deep water then the odds of me loading the boat increase dramatically.

Pink out is a term, I believe coined by the Wrench, describing the last bit of daylight after the sunset. It seems the Hybrids aren't worth fishing for except during that time. Go out as the sun sets and come in with your lights on. BTW the Largemouth were biting some earlier in the evening, had 3 keepers and some dinks, all off outside corners of docks on cranks. I couldn't get bit on Jigs or plastic baits.
